Pietersburg (Polokwane) - Two Northern Province people who took a chance on the slot machines became instant millionaires within two hours of each other on Friday.
At 6:35pm, policeman Joseph Baloyi of Flora Park inserted three R1 coins into the dream machine at Meropa Casino and
Entertainment World in Pietersburg and won R1 004 821.
Two hours later, Sara Pieterse of Potgietersrus spent R18 on her first visit to the casino and won R1 000 445.
"I didn't even plan to visit the casino," she enthused. "My friend had to show me how to play. I can't believe it, I'm so excited."
She and Baloyi each say they plan to invest their windfall wisely.
The dream machine is linked to the Reach for a Dream Foundation and, with
every millionaire made, Sun International undertakes to realise the dream of a terminally ill child.
The dream machine is linked nationally to a progressive jackpot. - African Eye News Service
