Mosoeu takes charge

Durban - Andries Mosoeu of South Africa continued to be the front runner as the Comrades field began to pass the halfway mark at Drummond in the 8Oth running of the famed marathon on Thursday in a time of 2 mins 44.45 seconds.
He had a healthy two minute lead over second placed Thamba Lemane and seven minutes on third placed Thabiso Moheto.
South African runners dominated the first 10 spots at Drummond.
The women were still dominated by Russians with the Nurgalieva twins Elena and Olesya and Tatiana Zurkova setting the pattern.
They were still short of the Drummond halfway mark.
