Birmingham, England - South Africa's Nicky Bojé was taken to hospital for X-rays on an ankle injury after falling while fielding during the triangular series one-day international against England at Edgbaston here on Tuesday.
Bojé was fielding as a substitute for Martin van Jaarsveld when he skidded and fell heavily on his left ankle.
South Africa spokesperson Gerald de Kock said: "He's in a lot of pain. They've only just got the sock off. It could be anything from a severe sprain to a break."
De Kock added that Bojé was on the field because "Van Jaarsveld got hit in the box before play and during his innings and that's got more and more painful."
