Los Angeles - Tour de France winner Floyd Landis will reveal on Thursday the case to support his innocence for a doping positive that he is appealing, hoping not to be stripped of the greatest title in cycling.
Landis announced on Wednesday that he will reveal the documents supporting his appeal on Thursday morning at 09:00 GMT on his website.
Howard Jacobs, Landis' lawyer, submitted a motion for dismissal to the US Anti-Doping Agency on September 11. One week later, Landis was notified that a review panel had recommended USADA continue the disciplinary process.
Jacobs has asked for an open hearing by the American Arbitration Association to fight possible punishments against Landis, who underwent hip surgery two weeks ago and is rehabilitating with hopes to ride in the 2007 Tour de France.
The documents set to be revealed by Landis include a 370-page World Anti-Doping Agency package including test information from 'A' and 'B' sample urinalysis, and a slide show by physician Arnie Baker refuting the test result.
The contention is that a carbon isotope ratio test on Landis's urine sample does not meet the WADA criteria for a positive doping test, there is an unacceptable variation in test sample results and test procedure and protocol were tainted by fundamental errors.
