The 'naked' truth

Cape Town - The "truth" about "Kamp Staaldraad" has finally been revealed.
This came about after the NG Kerk Tamboerskloof held its annual cake bake competition and the participants showed what really happened during the notorious camp in preparation for the Rugby World Cup last year.
But the sweet evidence didn't last long, though. Everyone ate the cakes with gusto after the judging.
The trophy for the winning cake was awarded to Ida Jordaan, whose masterpiece was green and flesh-coloured, the size of a pillow, with grappling naked rugby players as decoration.
What really took the cake, so to speak, was the masterpiece of the runner-up, Carlen Pansegrouw, who baked a cake showing a buck-naked behind with steel wire across the bum.
Dominee Hendrik Scott says no one was very shocked.
"The people in the congregation don't worry about nonsense," he says. The cake bake is an annual institution during the church bazaar and the committee thought the "Kamp Staaldraad" theme was just the thing to fill the church coffers.
"Six members of the congregation baked cakes and the winning cake was really pretty."
Pansegrouw says, "a few of us made the decision and we all worked together. We all thought it was really funny and afterwards the children couldn't wait to get their share."
