Strasbourg - A man was on Monday sentenced to four years in prison for a racially-motivated assault at a soccer match between two French second division clubs last weekend.
The 21-year-old "skinhead" ringleader, along with three others, were convicted for their involvement in the attack on a young north African after Strasbourg played Chateauroux.
They are alleged to have hit and verbally insulted their victim outside the Strasbourg stadium.
The three others, aged between 19 and 23, were handed down eight-month suspended sentences and have been barred from the stadium for two years.
A fifth member of the group aged 17 will appear before a children's court in December.
