Kuala Lumpur - Asian Football Confederation (AFC) chief Mohamed Bin Hammam has ruled out running for the Fifa presidency in 2011, saying he will back Sepp Blatter for another term.
Bin Hammam, recently named by World Soccer magazine as the third most powerful man in football after Blatter and Uefa President Michel Platini, said he believed most Asian federations felt the same way.
"It is very clear that I support Mr Blatter who is the current president of Fifa. I do hope that he runs for another term in 2011 and I will support him as I always do," the Qatari said on the AFC website.
"I believe that all AFC Member Associations are on the same page with me on this (supporting Blatter)."
Blatter, from Switzerland, became president in 1998 and was re-elected as head of world football's governing body for another four-year term in an uncontested election last year.
