United to ditch Ronaldo?

Manchester - The future of Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United appears to be in jeopardy.
According to The Sun newspaper, Ronaldo, who played a major role in the elimination of England from the World Cup, will be ditched by the England Premiership giants.
Ronaldo protested vehemently to the referee after United teammate Wayne Rooney stomped on Ricardo Carvalho during England's quarter-final World Cup clash against Portugal.
It is widely believed that Ronaldo was instrumental in ensuring that referee Horatio Elizondo showed Rooney a red card.
As Rooney made his way off the field, Ronaldo was seen winking towards the Portuguese bench.
Ronaldo's non-football antics upset England and in particular their Manchester United representatives Rooney and Gary Neville.
However, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, has apparently not given up on his 21-year-old prodigy.
"There isn't a problem with the boy and I don't expect any problems," Ferguson told AP.
However, former England striker Alan Shearer stated that he thought there was every chance that Wayne Rooney could go back to the Manchester United training ground and "stick one on Ronaldo".
Ronaldo has in the interim been linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
