Montlucon - Sylvain Chavanel of France won the 19th stage of the Tour de France on Friday, while Carlos Sastre kept the overall lead going into the final weekend of the three-week race.
Chavanel beat fellow French rider Jeremy Roy in a two-man sprint after they broke away from the main pack during the 165.5km ride along the mostly flat roads from Roanne to Montlucon.
Sastre is the seventh cyclist to wear the leader's yellow jersey in this year's race. He leads his CSC teammate Frank Schleck of Luxembourg by 1 minute 24 seconds, and Bernhard Kohl of Austria in third place 1:33 back.
The race is likely to be decided during Saturday's final time trial.
