Fan out of coma after crash

Tignes, France - A spectator involved in a collision with German rider Patrik Sinkewitz on the Tour de France has come out of a coma, it was announced by hospital authorities in Grenoble.
Sinkewitz, of the T-Mobile team, was still on his bike when he collided with the spectator after the end of Sunday's 165km eighth stage, which began in Le Grand-Bornand.
The man, who has not been named, was flown by helicopter to hospital after losing consciousness.
A hospital statement said: "The patient has a serious head injury, but his life is not in danger."
The hospital did not give the age or the identity of the victim.
The collision also forced Sinkewitz out of the Tour de France. He has a broken nose, an injured shoulder and cuts on his knees.
