Sanzar keeps CJ waiting

Johannesburg - Springbok prop C J van der Linde has not appealed against his suspension
of four weeks as SA Rugby has not received the set out reasons for his
suspension in writing form Sanzar
"It is completely unsatisfactory," said manager of national teams Andy
Marinos on Thursday. "We wanted to look through the reasons of his
suspension before lodging an appeal but have to date not received it.
We simply cannot appeal on a bland Sanzar media release," he said.
"We don't know why answers have not been forthcoming," Marinos said and
added that he has requested SA Rugby's Christo Ferreira to follow up on
the delay in forwarding the decision to suspend Van der Linde by New
Zealand's Nick Davidson, QC, who chaired the Sanzar judicial hearing on
Monday.
"I don't know whether the Aussies have had a reply," he said.
The suspension will not influence the further participation of CJ van
der Linde for the Springboks, as it remains highly unlikely that his
full four-week suspension would be set aside. This is the Boks' last
Test before the end-of-year tour in November.
Van der Linde has probably played his last Test for South Africa and
will be playing his future rugby overseas.
"We wanted to appeal and possibly have his sentence reduced for CJ's
future and his disciplinary record," said Marinos.
