Eunice lends a helping hand

Eunice runs an annual leadership project where the gr. 12 learners invest their time in helping the community.

The goals of this outreach are to acquire essential skills and competencies for lifelong learning and to make a meaningful difference in the community by implementing appropriate projects.

One of the groups involved in a leadership project this year has decided to improve the learning environment of the 179 learners at the Dr Betheul Setai Intermediate School.

The team made several improvements to the facilities at the school. The floor of the kitchen was tiled and the walls were repainted, the jungle gyms were repaired and repainted in brighter colours, a school emblem was painted in one of the classrooms and the school’s sand pit was filled with sand.

With the help of Post Bank the team was able to open a Mzanzi account for each child with R10 deposited.

The team was also able to feed every child a meal and give the school books, painting equipment, desks for the teachers and new netball skirts.

The team had several sponsors that helped them along the way and made their endeavours possible.
