Champions announced
Northern Cape neighbours Free State Raga Bolo Street Soccer champions, Makaota Tavern of Freedom Square, were knocked out in the first round of the 2008 National Finals of the Smirnoff 1818 Raga Bolo Street Soccer Challenge. McDonald Qakoshe was elected Free State’s Man of the Region by the attending media. Earlier in the Free State play-offs they beat Taung Tavern of Bethlehem 3-2, and Jazz Tavern of Odendaalsrus 5-0 to clinch the regional championship. The national finals were held in Zwide, Port Elizabeth and Veli’s Place of Gauteng East beat Pax Tavern of North-West 2-1 for the national title.
