Great was the surprise on the faces of the Bloemfontein golf players when the world-wide leader in luxury watches and chronographs TAG Heuer, who is also a sponsor for Tiger Woods, sponsored Bloemfontein golf players at the Tjokkies Golf Day.

The TAG Heuer banners rose high above the greens of the Bloemfontein Golf Course. The players not only received the day fees, but also Nike golf bags and the necessary equipment. TAG Heuer also has its own Nike golf balls which were handed out to players.

Messrs Johan en Pieter Laubscher from HDL Jewellers in Bloemfontein are very proud of their golf team which is now sponsored by TAG Heuer and the team finished second at the Tjokkies Golf Day.

The Laubschers from Bloemfontein say: “It is an honour to be associated with a company like TAG Heuer. To us, TAG Heuer is known for understated luxury and style, prestige and exceptional quality. We look forward to working with TAG Heuer in the coming years.”

HDL Jewellers in Bloemfontein is a TAG Heuer agency and received the sponsorship for four golf players. They are Abel Bezuidenhoudt, Christie Hansen, Gustav van Heerden and Willie van Heerden

The Laubscher brothers say the TAG Heuer team in Bloemfontein will be seen more regularly on Bloemfontein golf courses.

The TAG Heuer team in Bloemfontein has already participated at two events: the Tjokkies and the Martie du Plessis Golf Days. Both were charity-driven golf days.

Today the HDL Jewellers Tag Heuer team consists of eight members who take turns to play. The next big event where all eight members of the team are going to participate, will be the Grey College Reunion Golf Day.

The other players are André Bester, Pieter Els, Wilco du Toit and Hennie Jonker, all experienced golf players.

“It is very important for HDL Jewellers to be involved in the community,” say the Laubscher brothers from Bloemfontein. Look out for the TAG Heuer team at future golf days.
