A leaner from the Lenakeng Secondary School did exceedingly well in athletics recently.

The second term just started, but Regina Thukane is eager to show her capabilities in this sport.

She participated in the u.19 category at the Goldfields Secondary Schools athletics that was held in Bloemfontein.

Here she obtained a second position in the 800 m and a third position in the 1 500 m.

She then qualified to enter for the 800 m and 1 500 m in Sasolburg, where she was so victorious that she won both a silver and gold medal.

As if this was not enough, she won a bronze medal at the National Secondary Schools Athletic Championship in March in Rustenburg .
