College reaches another milestone
The Goldfields FET College reached another milestone by achieving International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 9001:2000 accreditation status after being recognised as a best performing college in the Free Sate. ISO is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies which through regular monitoring and audits ensures institutions provide quality service. The main purpose of the certificate is to offer accredited training programmes as embraced in the Saqa Act, the scope of accreditation covers the provision of Further Education and Training in the areas of Services Studies, Business Studies, Engineering Studies, National Curriculum Vocational (NCV) and Learnerships. The accreditation programme has intensified the awareness of quality of care to new levels and the process of Quality Assurance is entrenched among the college stakeholders.
