The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their second child!

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their second child!

Just over a year after the birth of their son, Prince George, the royal house has announced that they’re expecting a new member of their family.

The unborn child will be fourth in line to the throne. Kate Middleton was in hospital following acute morning sickness.

Clarence House confirmed that she is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace.

The official statement from the Royal House read: "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child. The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news. As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Her Royal Highness will no longer accompany The Duke of Cambridge on their planned engagement in Oxford today. The Duchess of Cambridge is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace."

Prime minister David Cameron said he was ‘delighted’ by the happy news.

Following Kate's  miscarriage, we're certain they feel blessed to be welcoming another member to their family.
