A new actress for Generations

A new actress will be joining SA most watched soapie Generations this December.

Sassy Nondumiso Tembe is set to join Mzansi’s number one television show, Generations!

The multiple-award winning, actress and singer Nondumiso  will play the feisty and scandalous role of Phumelele Miya aka Miss Mya; a successful fashion executive raised in New York, who has a wild, dark side.

She’ll be making her debut on our small screens on 5 December 2013. It is however not clear how long she will be before returning to Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles-based Nondumiso is most widely known for her emotionally intense portrayal of tragic Creole maid, Mavis, in the Golden Globe and Emmy award-winning hit HBO show “TRUE BLOOD.” She has also featured on popular CBS series “NCIS: LA” and “NCIS”.

In January 2011, Nondumiso released her debut album “IZWI LAMI; My Voice” which earned her the MetroFM Music Award for Best Music Video (“Just A Guy”), also receiving a nomination for Best Female Album as well as a nomination for her first South African Traditional Music Award (SATMA) in the Best EthnoSoul Artist category.

She was also the first South African Actress to receive a Masters of Fine Arts in Acting from the world-renowned Yale School of Drama.

Generations views can see Nondumiso from December 5  2013. Don’t’ miss it!
