Now another veteran producer, Gabriel ‘Gabi’ Le Roux has come out with guns blazing blaming lack of authenticity in the music industry. Le Roux who is well known for producing Mandoza’s hit song Nkalakatha called award-winning rappers, AKA, Toya De Lazy and Reason fake.

In a Facebook post, the producer and music composer wrote, “The ONLY way our Broadcasters (especially SABC Stations like - Metro, 5FM etc.) now take you seriously is if you take on a fake American Accent like AKA, Toya De Lazy, (and) Reason.”

He then referred to them as a ‘cancer’ to the South African culture. “These artists are all a cancer to our Collective South Afrikan (sic) culture, spending every hour of every day perfecting their fake American identities and infecting a whole new generation of South Afrikans with their foreign Masters' Neo Cultural Colonialism. Voeitog and Voetsek to being indoctrinated by American clones! Mzansi First! My Country - My Music!”

Le Roux has also worked with the legends like Lebo Lebo Mathosa, Brenda Fassie, Ringo Madlingosi, Busi Mhlongo and Yvonne Chaka Chaka to name just a few.
