ANC Gauteng elects PWC

The newly elected ANC Gauteng provincial executive committee elected new members for its provincial working committee.

The newly elected ANC Gauteng provincial executive committee elected new members for its provincial working committee (PWC), the party said on Tuesday.

"The PWC is an important structure of the ANC to run the affairs of the organisation and ensure implementation of all decisions," spokesman Dumisa Ntuli said in a statement.

The 15 members of the PWC were:

-- Provincial chairman, Paul Mashatile;

-- Deputy chairman, David Makhura;

-- Provincial secretary, Hope Papo;

-- Deputy secretary, Gwen Ramakgopa;

-- Provincial treasurer, Ntombi Mekgwe;

-- Barbara Creecy;

-- Qedani Mahlangu;

-- Lindiwe Maseko;

-- Brian Hlongwa;

-- Mondli Gungubele;

-- Peter Skosana;

-- Nat Kekana;

-- Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko;

-- Dipuo Mvelase; and

-- Thoko Magagula.

Three additional PEC members were co-opted, in compliance with the ANC's constitution in terms of geographic spread, gender, youth and character of the movement, Ntuli said.

They were: Khusela Sangoni-Khawe, Patrick Lipudi and Jacob Mamabolo.

"The deployment of PEC members to various sub-committees will be done in the next coming week to ensure consistency, experience and strengthening the work of the ANC," he said.
