By Drum Digital

I’d like to know if is there a way to protect someone from HIV infection without using a condom

Question:

.

Is there another precaution available?

DR NOMTETO ANSWERS

It's quite controversial and dangerous to say you can have unprotected sex in the present day, even in the presence of PEP (Post Exposure Prophylaxis).

These include the gels that claim to offer “protection.” The answer is to abstain from sex completely, or to wear a condom.

If you choose any other method, it is at your own risk.

There is “zero” efficacy or clinical proof that other means of protection work.

The side effects of PEP later on in life, for example, Kidney Failure, are a monster that can be avoided by Abstinence or Condom use.
