Ask sis Dolly: My husband's changed

I'm 38 and my husband has diabetes.

We no longer have sex and he moved out of our bedroom three years ago. We unsuccessfully went for counselling several times. He's moody and aggressive. I'm tired and need help.

Sis Dolly answers:

You have a lot of issues and I'm not sure what the root of the problem is or what you'd like from this relationship. Diabetes can cause erectile dysfunction (ED) but with strict management it's possible to fix this. Perhaps ED has harmed your husband's self-esteem, and feelings of failure could make him irritable. He needs to know his condition can be addressed. I'm wondering what is at the bottom of his behaviour. Give counselling one more chance, but you both need to be honest.
