I'm in a lesbian relationship, My girlfriend and I fight a lot, and she gets jealous when I’m not with her and I can’t take our fighting any more

I’m 21 years old and in a lesbian relationship. My girlfriend and I fight a lot, and she gets jealous when I’m not with her.

She calls me names and talks badly about my family, which I don’t like. Her family loves me and I love them. Yet, I can’t take our fighting any more.

What should I do?

Sis Dolly answers

Name-calling is psychological abuse. Your relationship is not healthy and your girlfriend is possessive.

Is this the kind of relationship you imagined for yourself, with someone who doesn’t accept your family even though you have embraced hers?

You need to talk to your partner about what she is doing and how it is affecting you and your relationship.

Hear her out and then decide whether you want to continue or end things with her.

Just make sure that the way her family feels about you is not the deciding factor.
