Back to square one for former ANCYL leader: report

Former ANCYL secretary general Sindiso Magaqa is working as an ordinary member of the ANC at its Harry Gwala branch in KwaZulu-Natal, The Star reported on Friday.

"He has no leadership position. He is disciplined and has no plan of leaving the ANC," African National Congress Youth League provincial task team co-ordinator Sbu Ngwane was quoted as saying.

Ngwane reportedly told the paper that giving Magaqa a leadership position depended on his behaviour.

Former ANCYL president Julius Malema was expelled, and Magaqa was suspended last year for sowing division within the party and for bringing it into disrepute. Magaqa's suspension ended in April.

According to The Star, he was now living in his hometown in uMzimkhulu, in KwaZulu-Natal.
