Bail application postponed for student leader Mcebo Dlamini

The bail application for arrested Wits University #FeesMustFall student leader Mcebo Dlamini has been postponed to Tuesday morning.

Dlamini faces charges of public violence following violent student protests at Wits.

Dlamini was arrested at 1 am on Sunday morning at his Wits University student residence in Parktown. Police took him to Hillbrow Police Station and then later to Cleveland Police Station.

Students have been camped outside the Johannesburg Magistrates Court since this morning. They are gearing up to make their way to Hillbrow Magistrates Court where two student from Wits, one from UJ and an 18-year-old student who is attending a matric bridging course at Star School will be appearing in court.
