Barbecue chicken skewers

Here is a barbecue sauce recipe that you can use every time you grill

Serves 4-6

Preparation: 15 min

Cooking: 15 min

½ red onions (chopped)

2 garlic cloves, chopped

250 ml (1 c) tomato sauce

80 ml (? c) Worcestershire sauce

125 ml (½ c) apple cider vinegar

125 ml (½ c) dark brown sugar

120 ml (2 t) chilli powder

5 ml (1 t) smoked paprika

2,5 ml (½ t) ground mustard

salt and pepper

4 chicken breasts, sliced

30 ml (2 T) oil

  1. In a pan over medium heat cook the onion, until soft. Add garlic, sauces, spices, apple cider vinegar, sugar and salt and pepper. Reduce the heat to low and simmer, stirring until thickened.
  2. Heat a griddle pan over medium heat. Push the chicken pieces onto skewers. Coat with oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. When pan is heated put the chicken in and cook until grill marks appear. Flip over and cook until charred all around.
  4. Brush the skewers with sauce and continue cooking until well coated and sticky. Continue with the rest of the skewers.
