Berita is one of the artists who’ll be taking part at the anticipated “One Night in Africa” event.  She will be performing alongside legendary acts such as Oliver Mtukudzi and four-time Grammy winning Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

We caught up with the award-winninng songbird to chat about the event happening at the Big Top Arena, Carnival City on the 1st November 2014.

 1. What does this show (One Night in Africa) mean to you?

This show is my biggest achievement of 2014. I have been looking forward to the 1st of November for months now and I am excited that the date is drawing nearer and nearer.

2. Can you tell us a bit about the band you're bringing to Big Top Arena, in Carnival City?

I have been playing with my band for over a year now and our chemistry is growing stronger and stronger. I play with a dedicated group of young musicians that love to have fun on stage.

3. What does it feel like to be on the same bill with legends such as Oliver Mtukudzi and Ladysmith Black Mambazo?

This show symbolizes my growth as an artist. It is a great honour, a once in a lifetime opportunity that I will forever cherish.

4. What can the fans expect?

As you know I am releasing my new album called Songs of Empowerment in November. In this show I will be playing the new songs for the first time. So my people can expect new songs and a new electrifying traditionally inspired feel.

5. What’s next?

I am wrapping up work on my new album called Songs of Empowerment. My new single 'Sukundixhesha' has just been plugged into radio stations across the country and the response thus far is amazing.
