Afro soul songstress Berita has launched her much anticipated second studio album titled "Songs of Empowerment.”

Recently, the 22-year-old proudly Zimbabwean singer gave us a taste of her new music and we are confident to say her fans won't be disappointed.

Yfm presenter DJ Khutso Theledi was the MC for the night and did a great job replacing Thando Thabethe, who unfortunately called in sick.

Chikita told us about the inspiration behind the album. "I want to make music that people can consciously dance to. Music that evokes happiness in people and speaks truth as well, because I sing about personal struggle, and how to find worth and patience through hard times" said Berita with a big smile.

Candy of Tsa Mandebele fame, another Kalawa Chikita whom Berita calls sisi (sister) was there to support her friend and enjoyed herself cheering for and dancing to Berita’s music. Model Maps Maponyane also came out to play and support his friend.

The new album boasts impressive collaborations with music legends Bra Hugh Masekela and Oliver Mtukudzi. The songstress received a Gold sales status for the hit single "Thandolwethu" from her debut album "Conquering Spirit.” Hopefully, Songs of Empowerment, set for worldwide release on the 10th November 2014, enjoys the same success and more.
