A nasty, physical fight overshadowed her appearance at the Metro FM Music Awards and Kelly Khumalo wants to tell her side of the story. DRUM chats to the singer

Afro-pop sensation Kelly Khumalo has come out guns blazing to refute claims that she is romantically involved with herbalist Zamokwakhe “Bhaka” Nzama and that she assaulted him and injured his eye.

In a tell-all interview with DRUM the Asine hitmaker reveals for the first time startling details of her encounters with the controversial herbalist.

Throughout her response to our questions she refers to him as “that man”. “I’m not in a relationship with that man, I never was – it was just a fling, nothing significant,” she declares.

It is the first time the singer has opened up about her relationship with the herbalist, or about what really happened that night in her hotel room in Durban.

“I met that man in January this year, a week before my sister’s birthday,” she tells us. She also sets the record straight about the highly publicised drama that occurred in Durban recently ahead of the Metro FM Music Awards.
