Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston has brain damage, that’s according to a media statement issued by her maternal grandmother Cissy Houston.

After visiting her granddaughter, Cissy said the 22-year-old is no longer in a medically induced coma, but remains unresponsive.

Cissy added: “I have just returned from visiting my granddaughter Bobbi Kristina in the hospital and while she is no longer in a medically induced coma . . . according to the doctors, she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive.”

“Meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me. We can only trust in God for a miracle at this time. Keep us in your prayers,” said Cissy.

On Sunday a beaming Bobby Brown revealed to concertgoers that his daughter Bobbi Kristina was no longer in a coma.

Christopher Brown, Bobby Brown’s lawyer, issued a statement late Monday on behalf of Bobby and his expectant wife, Alicia Etheredge-Brown, clarifying his remarks of his daughter’s improvement.

The statement said there had been “improvement” and that doctors said Bobbi would live a “long life,” but the “quality of her life would not be known for years to come.”
