Boks return for Sharks

Sharks coach John Plumtree has reintegrated his side's remaining Springboks into their starting XV for the Currie Cup final against Western Province

in Durban on Saturday.

The KwaZulu-Natal team have made four changes for the clash, with national stars Willem Alberts and Tendai Mtawarira both returning to the fold.

Plumtree resisted the temptation to throw them into the mix for the semi-final triumph over the Blue Bulls last week, but there was no hesitation this time around.

“We've been together now for a couple of weeks, so there were less headaches for me this week,” he said.

“You feel for the ones you leave out. Those are the ones that make it hard -- players that may have played throughout the campaign that you have to leave out.”

Flanker Alberts comes in at openside for Jean Deysel, while prop Mtawarira is back in the front row alongside Craig Burden, who also returns from duty with the Bok squad.

Kyle Cooper drops out to accommodate hooker Burden, while the final change is at lock where Steven Sykes takes over from Jandre Marais.

The backline is untampered with Patrick Lambie, named Man of the Match in both games since his return from international duty, starting at flyhalf, while highly-rated Cobus Reinach won the battle for the number nine jersey with Charl McLeod.

Sharks team: Louis Ludik, JP Pietersen, Paul Jordaan, Tim Whitehead, Lwazi Mvovo, Patrick Lambie, Cobus Reinach, Keegan Daniel (captain), Willem Alberts, Marcell Coetzee, Anton Bresler, Steven Sykes, Jannie du Plessis, Craig Burden, Tendai Mtawarira. Replacements: Kyle Cooper, Wiehahn Herbst, Jandre Marais, Jean Deysel, Charl McLeod, Meyer Bosman, Odwa Ndungane.
