Bonang Matheba has allegedly lost an international TV gig to Lerato Kganyago.

Sunday World reports that conflict of interest on Matheba's part has cost her the gig with Moments on DSTV's Ebony Life Television as her show Afternoon Express on SABC 3 is based on the same format.

The weekly reports that Matheba was also too hasty to announce her landing the job which did not sit well with the producers of the show.

"We need the show to be popularised but one should not go public about something that is not finalised. But conflict of interest was the issue her," Ebonly Life TV's head of entertainment was quoted as saying by the publication.

Matheba is set to be replaced by Kganyago who will reportedly start shooting from July 1 at Red Pepper Studios and Pearl Thusi is also said to be co-hosting the show.

Kganyago could not be reached for comment by Sunday World but Matheba was allegedly surprised by the news.

"What! I don't know what you guys a re talking about," Matheba told reporters.

"As far as I am concerned I am still gonna do the show. Pearl Thusi is doing the show. The girls doing the sow are all working for the SABC so why is it a conflict of interest for me? As I'm talking to you now I'm boarding a plane to Lagos to shoot a few episodes for that show." Matheba also took to her twitter to illustrate her surprise
