Two most wanted criminals Sakumzi (Saki) Mvoko and Yandisa Bila opened fire to police while they entered the Mthatha High Court, according to media reports.

During the shout-out one Correctional Services officer was injured.

In 2011, members of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (also known as the Hawks) arrested Mvoko and Bila who had escaped from prison.

An Audi suspected to have been used in the Harding robbery was seized.

Police then arrested Mvoko in the same province.

Three R5 rifles were recovered during Mvoko’s arrest.

In Roodepoort police arrested Yandisa Bila and convicted cash-in-transit robber Monde Mlala.

An R5 rifle, 10 full R5 magazines and a Volvo were seized.
