Rape accused musician Sipho "Brickz" Ndlovu is expected back in the Roodepoort Magistrate's Court for a ruling in his bail application.

Rape accused musician Sipho "Brickz" Ndlovu is expected back in the Roodepoort Magistrate's Court on Tuesday for a ruling in his bail application.

In an affidavit submitted as part of his bail application, Ndlovu denied raping the girl and indicated that he intended pleading not guilty.

Prosecutor Willem le Roux opposed the bail application. He said that even without a passport, Ndlovu could easily leave the country if granted bail.

He said the award-winning Kwaito star did not have a fixed address, and did not have property registered in his name.

Ndlovu also posed a danger to his victim and his wife, Le Roux submitted.

Isaac Mokgopi, for Ndlovu, said he would not flee and would stand trial.

He said Ndlovu had not committed any crime since he was fined in 2007 for drug possession.

Mokgopi asked that the court release Ndlovu on bail of R2000.

Ndlovu has been in custody since November 1 for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl in March.
