Bright young minds gather at Magaliesberg

Innovative showcase is set to kick off on 15 December at Magaliesberg bringing together 250 of the brightest young minds in the country.

“ Innovative showcase is about gathering a critical mass of think-out-the-box trendsetters who have the skills, sense of self, and spark to reshape South African society.,” says Innovatives spokesperson Mhlanganisi Madlongwana.

‘Activators’, as the participants have been called – whether employed, unemployed or studying - participate in a cutting-edge programme in leadership and capacity building that spans three years on a part-time basis.

Former cabinet minister Jay Naidoo and Pat Pillay have also been lined up to speak at the event at Magaliesburg.

Nompumelelo Reading Club is just one of the projects that have been sparked by initiative, this reading club based in the Eastern Cape has played a positive impact in the community, bringing together young adult to discuss and bring about change through books.

“We believe through connecting capable young South Africans and building their innovation skills, they will bring about systemic change at a local and national level," concludes Madlongwana
