Can texting ruin your relationship?

It seems these days texts have replaced real conversations.

It seems these days texts have replaced real conversations.

A guy shouldn't send you a text to ask you out on a date, break up with you, or just check in to see how you’re doing.

Texting can be a fun way to flirt but it can’t replace true communication. You can’t start, build or nurture a relationship without verbal and non-verbal communication that’s honest, authentic and vulnerable.

If you want a man to stop texting you, don’t reply or say something fun and flirty like, “If you really want to take me out, you should call me. Most people say I have a voice like _____________(fill in the blank with your favorite adjective or celebrity) but you’ll never know unless you call!”

Use texts sparingly to make a good relationship better. Otherwise, just pick up the phone and say hello.
