Self love is key - Nonhle Ndala

Fitness trainer and Diski Diva Nonhle Ndala who had a child about a year ago with soccer star Andile Jali, chatted to DRUM recently about raising her child, fitness and her upcoming boot camp this weekend at The Spring Jazz festival in Magoebaskloof.

So tell us about the two hour boot camp at the festival, what will it entail and why is it important?

Introduction to fitness as lifestyle, innovative ways to train outside of gym, healthy living and the importance of preparation and Sports Nutrition. It's important for our country to be knowledgeable and take control of their own health which will prevent diseases making us a healthier responsible nation contributing positively to our GDP.

You have had the privilege of having a child and still maintaining such a great body, how do you do it?

Healthy Mindset, Discipline and Consistency in what I put in my body and making time to keep fit.

How can other women practically follow your footsteps to get rid of the baby weight as well as just staying fit?

Self love is key, make time for yourself, invest in yourself and live a healthy lifestyle. Respect your body by wanting only the best for it, It is the vehicle that drives you, carries you, the only place you live in.

What are you looking forward to the most when it comes to the festival? Outside of your bootcamp?

Spending quality time with family and friends that will be attending the festival, interacting with different cultures and uniting in diversity.

The Spring Jazz Festival takes place this heritage day Saturday 24 September with Ray Phiri and Simphiwe Dana being two of the headlining acts. It celebrates arts, culture and food.
