Chicken kebabs

Get the party started with these tasty kebabs.

Serves: 6

500 ml (2 c) barbecue sauce

60 ml (¼ c) brandy

6 chicken breast fillets, cut into pieces

salt and white pepper

2,5 ml (½ t) garlic powder

2,5 ml (½ t) onion powder

30 ml (2 T) paprika

30 ml (2 T) dark brown sugar

15 ml (1 T) smoked paprika

Light the grill and heat to medium-high.

  1. In a small bowl, combine the barbecue sauce and brandy. Mix well.
  2. In a blender, combine the salt, white pepper, onion powder, paprika, garlic powder, dark brown sugar and smoked paprika. Pulse until completely smooth.
  3. Put the chicken pieces in a bowl and then rub with the spices. Once well-coated, thread the chicken pieces onto skewers.
  4. Braai the kebabs on the grill for about 5 minutes per side, or until nearly cooked through.
  5. Brush the kebabs with the barbecue sauce and cook for an additional 5 minutes on each side. Serve with the remaining barbecue sauce
