Chilli beef lettuce wraps

The lettuce cools down the chilli in the mince. A great way to enjoy mince without a starch.

Serves 4-6

30 ml (2 T) oil

500 g beef mince

3 garlic cloves, chopped

3 cm ginger, chopped

2 red chillies, sliced

15 ml (1 T) brown sugar

5 ml (1 t) fish sauce

gem lettuce, separated into leaves, and salad dressing to serve

1        Heat the oil in a frying pan over high heat and fry the mince for 5 minutes, stirring to break up the lumps.

2        Stir in the garlic, ginger, chillies and sugar and cook for 3 minutes. Add the fish sauce and turn off the heat.

3        Spoon the cooked mince onto the lettuce leaves, drizzle with a little salad dressing, roll up and eat immediately.
