Chimichurri steak

If you can’t resist the temptation for meat, try this tasty steak recipe

Serves: 4

4 T-bone steaks

salt and pepper

4 garlic cloves

handful fresh parsley

handful coriander

handful mint leaves

30 ml (2 T) extra-virgin olive oil

5 ml (1 t) Dijon mustard

juice of ½ lemon

  1. Let steak stand 30 minutes at room temperature. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  2. CHIMICHURRI Mince the garlic in a blender. Add parsley, coriander, and mint and process until coarsely chopped. Add oil, mustard and lemon and blend well.
  3. STEAK Heat a little oil in a pan over medium heat. When the pan is good and hot, fry the steak for 5 minutes and flip over to cook the other side for 4 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes.
  5. TO SERVE Cut steak across the grain into thin slices. Serve with chimichurri and roasted potatoes or salad.
