Creamy honey mustard chicken with bacon

Creamy, sweet mustard sauce that’s just perfect in this chicken dish

Serves 6

80 ml (? c) honey

45 ml (3 T) wholegrain mustard

4 garlic cloves, crushed

15 ml (1 T) olive oil

salt to season

8 chicken pieces

200 g diced bacon

80 ml (? c) cream

250 ml (1 c) double-cream yoghurt

15 ml (1 T) cornflour mixed with 30 ml (2 T) water

handful parsley, chopped

  1. In a large dish, combine the honey, mustard, garlic and oil. Season with salt. Coat chicken evenly in the sauce. Set aside.
  2. Heat a nonstick pan over medium heat. Fry the bacon until crispy, transfer to a plate. In the same pan, fry the chicken until just beginning to brown on each side.
  3. Add any remaining honey mustard sauce into the pan along with the cream, yoghurt and cornflour. Bring to a simmer while stirring occasionally until the chicken is cooked through.
  4. Top with the bacon and garnish with parsley.
