An investigating officer and a geo-mapping expert are scheduled to testify in the trial of honeymooner Anni Dewani's alleged killer in the Western Cape High Court on Wednesday.

Last Wednesday, Xolile Mngeni's lawyer said he had only used his best friend's phone for downloading music, not to call Mziwamadoda Qwabe, who had already been convicted and sentenced for his role in the murder.

Mngeni, 25, has pleaded not guilty to kidnapping, robbing, and shooting Dewani in Gugulethu in November 2010.

His best friend Siyabonga Gwele, 23, had testified that Mngeni used his phone for extended periods of time.

According to State prosecutor Adrian Mopp, phone records showed that a number of calls were made between his phone number and Qwabe's.
