DJ Cleo enters DRUM’s car competition and wins!

DJ Cleo had no idea his annual subscription to DRUM magazine would score him a brand new Toyota Quest, but he was pleasantly surprised to find out.

"I've played the lotto, I've played powerball. I entered competitions as a child but have never won anything before," the thrilled muso says.

"I actually thought it might be a scam," he jokes.

But the DJ and former soccer player has big plans for his new car: "I plan donate it to the DJ Cleo Foundation. It'll come in really handy for our scouting of talent and making our way to different schools for our motivational talks."

Cleo recently launched his foundation, the DJ Cleo Foundation, which serves as a management company for young soccer stars as well as an outreach organisation for young aspiring sportspeople.

While he has decided to stop playing soccer professionally, Cleo says he is still passionate about developing young talent.

He took time out of his busy schedule to collect his car and share some of the exciting things he's been working on.

"All I can say is that everybody needs to get their antiperspirant in order because nizojuluka (you will be sweating)," he jokes.

He says his song, Gogo, which became an instant social media sensation, was just an introduction back into the industry.

"The real stuff is coming now," he says.

While he isn't able to give us much detail about his next project, DJ Cleo says his next single should be out in March and fans can expect an album from him around August.

If his track record and awards are anything to go by, his next offering is bound to be a scorcher!
