Radio DJ Sammy Sosa is back on the airwaves after clinching a deal with online radio station Touch Central

The star had a short stint with Metro FM before she was shown the door when door when she didn't pitch for work.

She allegedly broke the conditions of her contract with the corporation because, it later emerged, she was busy shooting DSTV's reality program The Hustle.

Since then, her life apparently took a downward spiral as numerous reports suggested she was down and out. She also came under fire in August when local Muso Inno claimed she owed him R20 000.

The sassy deejay set the record straight on social media. "I live an honest life and would never swindle anyone," she tweeted. "I earn an honest living and work for everything I've got."

Despite the controversies, Sammy tells us how excited she is to be back behind the mic. She'll be on air on Saturdays between 3 pm and 6 pm.

What about the rumours the she is down and out?  She took time out to be with her family, she admits. "I spent two months in Cape Town with family because I was not well," she says. "I just decided to get away from everything to collect myself. Before I started at Touch Central I had dinner with everyone who works there and I realized that radio doesn't have to be conservative - there's freedom to inspire and touch people's lives."
