Durban's favourite deck burner DJ Tira's car was stolen last week and he is not happy about the situation at all.

The DJ revealed that the car theft has caused a major setback in the running of his Afrotainment music stable. "It's been horrible!" Tira reveals to DRUM. "It's the car I used for runarounds, transporting afrotainment artists to interviews and doing deliveries," he says. Tira, real name Mthokozi Khathi, says that he has also been swindled out of money from a chance-taker.

"On top of that someone called and claimed to help me and extorted money from me. But I'm letting police deal with all these now." he states.

Khathi may be disgruntled by the situation but is trying to take it all in his stride.

"I'm focusing back at work. It's just challenges a person has to deal with."

The car in question was stolen in Morningside and is a silver VW Polo Vivo, licensed ND 358 870.

Anyone with information about the car or the theft should contact the South African Police Service.
