Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Josta Dladla’s case for alleged doping is set to start on Tuesday.

Dladla, 34, tested positive for methylhexaneamine following the Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates on October 26.

The SA Institute for Drug-Free Sport (SAIDS) confirmed that Dladla had returned a positive test for methylhexaneamine, which, according to the SAIDS website carries a ban ranging from a seven-week suspension to 24 months.

Dladla’s contract with Chiefs expires at the end of June and the club’s football manager Bobby Motaung told KickOff website that the two parties will not negotiate a new deal while the issue is pending.

Dladla has played six times for Bafana Bafana, having previously represented Mamelodi Sundowns (2004-2009) and Wits (2001-2002) in the PSL and Danish club AGF between 2002 and 2004.
