Dolls to help sexually-violated victims

The Department of Justice wants to introduce anatomical dolls with features of an alleged sexual offence perpetrator for sexually-violated victims to use when they testify in court about how the alleged crime was committed.

The set of anatomic dolls will consist of a doll representing a male child, a female child, a a male adult, a female adult, an aged male and an aged female.

According to the draft regulations relating to the Sexual Offences Courts, published by the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development, an anatomical doll must be an imitation of the external human body, including the genital organs.
