Dr Dre tops Forbes' highest-paid musician list

Dr Dre has been named the highest paid musician of 2014 by Forbes magazine, thanks to his $3bn Beats Music sale, rapper and mogul scores biggest one-year windfall of any music artist in history.

The calculations were made by Forbes magazine for their annual list of musician millionaires. Dre’s fortune far outsized that of his runner-up, Beyoncé. Although the Drunk in Love singer was 2014’s highest-earning female musician, her $115m wages are over half a billion dollars behind the NWA co-founder.
