This is not goodbye- Khosi

DRUM magazine editor Makhosazana (Khosi) Zwane-Siguqa has been appointed as Head of Content for WeChat Africa.

Khosi, who was the youngest DRUM editor on her appointment in December 2010 has been with the magazine for just over four years, says she’s looking forward to the new chapter in her career but she will miss being at DRUM.

“I am sad about leaving DRUM. I’ts been my home for four years and my team has become my family. They are all individually dear to me. I have also made some valuable connections with our audience over the years. This is not goodbye. They remain close to my heart. However, four years is a very long time in media and WeChat presents unique and exciting opportunities especially for the African continent,” Khosi explains.

WeChat Africa managing director Brett Loubser says they are excited to have Khosi on board.

“Khosi has a fantastic presence in the DRUM community and while I’m sure her readers are going to miss her, we’re excited for the fresh perspective she’ll bring to WeChat. She has an excellent reputation in the industry and brings expert insights and imagination to the platform”.

Khosi moves to WeChat on 1 May 2015.
