Romantic Comedy. 2010. 97 min. With Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman. Directors: Josh Gordon, Will Speck. 13Pg.

With her biological clock ticking away loudly and no relationship to speak of, Kassie Larson (Aniston) decides to seek the help of a sperm donor to become a single parent. Her concerned best bud Wally (Bateman) – who has feelings for her but has never had the guts to tell her – tries to talk her out of what he thinks is a crazy idea.

Kassie throws a party on the night she plans to self-inseminate and a tipsy Wally finds the donor jar in the bathroom. He accidentally spills its precious contents down the sink and, in a state of panic, replaces it with his own.

Years later, Wally, still unhappy and alone, runs into Kassie and her seven-year-old son... Aniston is fitting as the lead in this romcom – great if you’re a fan, annoying if you’re sick of her in this type of role. And Bateman is awesome as the awkward yet sincere Wally. A touching, enjoyable watch.
